National

For over 60 years, Delta Zeta has made the cause of speech and hearing loss one of our national philanthropies. Our chapter supports national speech and hearing organizations including Gallaudet University, the House Research Institute, The Painted Turtle, and The Starkey Hearing Foundation, volunteering many hours and generously fundraising for this cause.

Gallaudet University

Since 1954, Delta Zeta Sorority has shared a partnership with Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., the worlds only university with undergraduate programs accessible to hearing-impaired students. Our members participate in fundraising events to raise money to provide funds for University needs and Scholarships. To learn more, visit www.gallaudet.edu.

The Starkey Hearing Foundation

The Starkey Hearing Foundation's Mission is to change the social consciousness of hearing and hearing matters through education and research while providing the gift of hearing to those in need around the world. Our members participate in Starkey's Build-A-Bear Project by providing bears from Build-A-Bear with hearing aid attachments so that children at upcoming hearing missions can have a "furry friend just like them." Visit The Starkey Hearing Foundation at www.starkeyhearingfoundation.org

The Painted Turtle

The Painted Turtle's Mission is to provide a year-round, life-changing environment and authentic camp experience for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses. Through fundraising and donating items on The Painted Turtle's wish list, our members are proud to help the children that it serves.

Delta Zeta's fundraising efforts help all campers and families attend free of charge. Visit The Painted Turtle at www.thepaintedturtle.org.
