Be more

Delta Zeta believes in the potential of each member and wants to equip her with the tools needed to accomplish her dreams. The Being More! The program seeks to prepare members for the challenges they will face throughout their time in college, as leaders of student organizations, and as they transition out of college and into their future. The program also assists in preparing our members to best take advantage of opportunities with skills such as networking, interviewing and resolving conflict in the workplace.

Being More! is a four-year peer-led membership development experience which is based upon a competency model. Throughout their years in college, our members will participate in programs that will aid in their personal growth across six competencies: Communicates Effectively, Personal Life Balances, Values & Maintains Relationships, Confidence, Critical Thinking and Resolves Conflict. Each academic class will participate in a curriculum designed for them.

Programs range from 60 to 90 minutes and are comprised of a variety of activities including group discussions, reflection, quizzes, interviews, games, etc.

How delta zeta has helped our alumni be more

Going into college I was very overconfident and thought making friends would be SO EASY. Eh, it wasn't. Joining DZ helped me build a support system that has lasted past by collegiate days. I'm lucky to have these friendships today and I'm proud to inspire others to let their freak flag fly. Always.

One of the many things Delta Zeta and my sisters has given me is the encouragement to become a more outgoing person. Growing up, I was always the quiet kid in class. Thanks to taking on various chapter roles in my DZ college years, I came out of my turtle shell. I now co-host the morning show on z100 here in Eau Claire.

Delta Zeta dared me to dream bigger, to be more, and gave me the support group for the journey.

Back when I joined Delta Zeta in 2009, I sought to find that group of life-long friends. It turned out to be that and so much more! Delta Zeta gave me the push I needed to develop my leadership skills and help me think outside the box. The Epsilon Omega chapter is not your typical group of sorority women. There is a heritage of free thinkers, women that seek to be the best at what they do, and those that take whatever life throws at them with their head held high and dignity intact. The drive inside of me to constantly improve and reach new heights was sparked by joining Delta Zeta. Join for the friends today, stay for that passion to grow.

Delta Zeta has helped me be more more confident in who I am. Through the friendships I have made and the opportunities I have been given, I have become a stronger woman who is more confident about stepping out of my comfort zone. I just moved to Europe, which I would have never seen myself doing before joining DZ. Delta Zeta has also given me a huge support system that I know I can always count on. I have so many amazing sisters and I am so excited to continue to build friendships with more of my sisters as an alumni. Thank you Delta Zeta!

Delta Zeta has helped me become the leader, innovator, and woman I am today! Because of my work in the sorority, I became a confident public speaker, problem solver, and creative thinker. I know what I want in life and have no problem pushing myself to obtain those goals. Thank you to Delta Zeta for providing the tools for me to BE MORE and to be the BEST me I can I be!

When I graduated, I wasn't sure Delta Zeta had a place for me anymore. I had distanced myself from my sisters (mostly because I wasn't sure who I was anymore). On a whim I moved to Colorado. It was there I met one of my best friends and a fellow Delta Zeta at the gym. We connected instantly through sisterhood. She was my reason for becoming involved as an alumnae. I began my journey back to DZ through becoming a member of the Denver Alum Chapter and quickly moving into an advisor role for the Rho chapter at DU. One woman I met on my journey at DU was a lady named Deb. She showed me that Delta Zeta will always welcome you back. She inspired me to reach out to the lovely ladies of Delta Zeta- Epsilon Omega to reconnect and become an advisor from a distance. This experience has reconnected me with sisters from my college days and reminded me that Delta Zeta will always be my home. It has made me a leader, a problem solver, and has taught me to never give up. Delta Zeta isn't just four years. It really is for life. Without my involvement as an Alumnae, I would not have the impact on others that I do today.

As a Vintage Turtle Delta Zeta has given me a home for life...my heart soars at being able to give back of my time, talent and treasure to two chapters..living in Kentucky for twenty years has allowed me to be an advisor for the DZs at Northern Kentucky University..my adopted chapter..while still being an advisor since 2005 to my beloved sisters of Epsilon Omega at my Alma Mater. I am blessed to have been able to visit them every year..these women allow me to give back..Delta Zeta is for life
